Principal research interests:
Environmental geochemistry; trace metal anthropogenic contamination of    surface and groundwater systems, sediments and soils.
Environmental impact assessment and rehabilitation of mined sites
Sources and pathways of heavy metal contaminants
Arc volcanism, mantle-crust interactions in subduction zone    environments.
Potassic and ultrapotassic volcanic rocks in orogenic environments.

Current Projects :
Anthropogenic trace metal contamination in Antarctic fresh waters, soils,    and organisms.
Arsenic contamination in Queensland and New South Wales mines.
Water geochemistry in the Great Artesian Basin.
Neogene magmatism and volcanism of Italy.
Magmatic processes in the west Sunda arc and crust/sediment/mantle    interactions in a subduction environment.
